Hi! My name is Katherine Davis. I am thirteen years old and finishing my seventh grade year at High Point Christian School. I am very excited to be on the Honduras mission team this year because it is the first big thing I've done for God in my life, and I feel like I can really make a difference in His world. So far, I love our team because everyone is so welcoming and friendly. The leaders are also amazing!
I was nervous about my decision to be on this team at first, but now I feel very prepared and excited for the trip. I've prayed a lot about preparations, and everything has been going very smoothly so far! I have raised all of the funds I need, with the help of such generous friends and relatives. I also know that I have a strong prayer group behind me, and I fully trust God to lead our team and the decisions we make.
The thing I am most nervous about is packing. I am extremely notorious for overpacking (ask my mother), and I don't know how I am going to get myself down to Honduras for two whole weeks without hundreds of suitcases! I guess that's just another one of the many things I need God's help for!
